Introducing BoConcept Manchester

Recently I had a delightful time visiting the stylish and contemporary furniture showroom, BoConcept Manchester, to view their current collections.

This independently run furniture and home accessories store is part of the prominent Danish global furniture brand, BoConcept, which was originally founded back in 1952.  With a proven heritage in producing well-designed and multi-functional furniture that exudes a modern, Scandinavian aesthetic, signature pieces include minimal dining sets, retro armchairs and modular sofas and storage units.

To complement these key designs, you’ll find a wide selection of chic home accessories – from lamps and mirrors to cushions and rugs – essential for adding those important finishing touches to any home.

BoConcept Manchester has been inspiring customers at its Great Ancoats Street location since 2010 and is certainly well worth a visit for anyone with a passion for home decor, or those seeking to improve their abode.

The spacious store offers you the opportunity to have a relaxed browse, with plenty of items out on display.  Just like the pages of a glossy, styled brochure, the showroom features desirable, co-ordinated ‘rooms’ and sets, but unlike a magazine or online catalogue, visiting the store in person gives you the chance to sit down on the chairs and sofas, plump the cushions, feel the comfort, fabrics and finishes, open doors and drawers – it is the only way to give you a true appreciation of a product and the BoConcept designs more than stand up to this sort of scrutiny.

What I particularly enjoyed about my visit was discovering products that were a little different to the norm.  Yes, you can spot popular current trends, but the feel here is less mass produced and more exclusive.  So much so, that people might assume BoConcept is out of their price bracket, but I personally found the store offers good value.

While I was there I met Nikki, the store director, who is shortly flying off to view all the latest BoConcept collections before deciding which of the new designs will grace the Manchester store – exciting!  I for one can’t wait to see the new arrivals in the coming weeks.

Most of the team have worked at the store for a long time and therefore are very knowledgeable about all the products.  Because much of the furniture can be personalised to your requirements,  they’ll introduce you to the ways in which you can customise modular designs or finishes, including a fabulous array of fabrics and leather (and colour lovers are just as well catered for as fans of grey!).

If you take advantage of the free interior design service you can rest assured that, whether you need to decorate and furnish a bedroom, living room or dining room, you can find your perfect style.
